A REDDITCH café and a takeaway have been given new food hygiene ratings.
Mr Pizza, a takeaway at 70 Unicorn Hill, Redditch was given a score of three out of five after an assessment on October 18.
Food safety officers found generally satisfactory standards across all areas inspected which included ‘hygienic food handling’, ‘cleanliness and condition of facilities and building’, and ‘management of food safety’.
Meanwhile, Lakeview Café a café Arrow Valley Park, Battens Drive, Redditch was given the maximum score of five out of five after assessment on September 28, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
It means that of Redditch's 69 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 45 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme gives businesses a rating from 5 to 0 so the public can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
