A MAN has been taken to hospital after suffering a ‘medical incident’ at the wheel, near the Tesco Extra store in Redditch.
It is believed a car left the road at the entrance to Tesco and crashed into a hedgerow.
The incident happened on Coldfield Drive just before 4:20 pm yesterday (December 22).
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a single car RTC on Coldfield Drive at 4.18 pm.
“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Critical Care Car attended the scene.
“Upon arrival crews found a man who was the driver of the car who is believed to have suffered a medical incident at the wheel.
“He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
“He was conveyed to Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.”
