A MAN and a woman have been locked up following a drug bust where around £3,500 worth of crack and heroin was seized.

Kian Reilly admitted possessing the drugs with intent to supply and Georgia Butler admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Reilly, aged 19, of Cliff Rock Road, Rednal, has been jailed for 34 months and Butler, aged 23, of Tinmeadow Crescent, Rubery, has been jailed for 27 months.

West Mercia Police’s County Lines Team stopped a Vauxhall Astra in Redditch as part of an intelligence led operation on 15th November 2022.

During a search of the vehicle, around £3,500 worth of crack cocaine and heroin were found.

They were both sentenced on April 28 at Worcester Crown Court.

The court was told Georgia Butler was the driver and Kian Reilly was the dealer who was a passenger in the vehicle.

It is believed they were dealing on behalf of the 'Ace' county line operation from Birmingham into Redditch.

The court ordered the destruction of all drugs paraphernalia and mobile telephones.

Detective Constable David Laver said: “Policing county lines is a force priority and cases like this show that people can contact us in confidence if they have any information about county lines drug dealing.

“We are pleased with the result of this case. Despite Butler only being a driver she has been given a strong sentence which sends a message to other people that get involved in drug dealing that no matter what their role we will seek to prosecute them.”
