WORCESTERSHIRE Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is asking residents to recognise their hospital heroes by nominating them for a ‘Patients’ Choice Award’.

In recognition of all of the efforts of staff working tirelessly across Worcestershire’s hospitals, nominations from the public are wanted to help celebrate someone at this year’s Staff Recognition Awards.

The awards will celebrate the work that staff and volunteers do across Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to put patients first.

The ‘Patients’ Choice Award’ is specifically for the local community to nominate a member of staff, team, or volunteer from the Alexandra Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre or Worcestershire Royal Hospital who has gone above and beyond their normal day-to-day duties and made a positive difference to your, or your loved one’s care.

Matthew Hopkins, chief executive of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Last year we received just under 1000 nominations, including a huge number from our grateful patients who wanted to recognise and thank staff for the care they had received. The Patients’ Choice Award chosen from nominations by patients was often the most coveted award by staff.”
