TWO women were taken to hospital after a crash in Redditch.

Medics, firefighters and police were at the scene of the three-vehicle crash at the junction of Callow Hill Lane and Windmill Drive after 2.24pm today (Tuesday August 22).

Firefighters freed one person who was trapped in a vehicle.

Two women were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Two ambulances attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered four patients.

"Two women were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital.

"The remaining two patients were assessed and discharged at the scene."

A spokesman for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “One Redditch Fire Station crew attended Callow Hill Lane where the incident involved three vehicles.

“One casualty was extricated from a vehicle prior to the fire service’s arrival and the crew freed another person who had been trapped.

“Both were left in the care of the ambulance service and the police were also in attendance.

“The two damaged vehicles were made safe by the crew who left the incident at 3.31pm.”
