A man has been left injured following a crash on the Alcester Highway yesterday afternoon (Thursday, February 8). 

West Mercia Police said they were called at around 4.15pm to a road traffic collision on the Alcester Highway towards Bromsgrove Highway. 

The incident involved one car and caused the road to be closed. 

The man was taken to Alexandra Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We received a call around 4.15pm yesterday afternoon (February 8) with a report of a road traffic collision on Alcester Highway towards the Bromsgrove Highway.  

"Officers arrived at the incident to find one vehicle involved.

"One man was taken to hospital with injuries."

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called to reports of a single vehicle RTC on Bromsgrove Highway at 4.48pm yesterday.

"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being to the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch."
