The hunt for two men continues after a man was left with "serious injuries' when he fell from a roof in Redditch.

Detectives are searching for two men who they believe were on the roof of Threadneedle House on Alcester Street at the same time a man in his 20s fell.

The incident happened at around 2pm yesterday (Thursday, March 7) with the man being taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Warren Matthews said: "You will continue to see extra officers around Threadneedle House today as we continue our investigation.

"We understand this incident has caused concern and I would like to reiterate that there is no wider risk to the public. Despite some speculation, we can confirm that a firearm was not discharged during the incident.

"If you were in Alcester Street or the surrounding area yesterday afternoon and saw the man fall or saw any unusual activity, please contact me.

"I would also like to speak to the two men who were on the roof at the time of the incident as they will be able to help with our enquiries and, again, I would ask these men, or anyone who knows who they are, to get in contact with me."
