THE annual parish tea and entertainment in connection with St George’s Church, Redditch, took place at St George’s School last night.
There was a large attendance, and the gathering throughout was very successful.
The proceeds were devoted to the special purpose fund of the parish and the contribution in this respect will be welcomed by the church wardens.
Special efforts are being made to raise the sum of about £60 to meet extraordinary expenditure, which includes the provision of new equipment to clean the organ, part cost of consecration of the cemetery and part cost of roadmaking in St George’s Road.
