WALTER Craddock, labourer, or no fixed abode, in custody, was charged with being drunk in Evesham Street, Redditch, on the second instant.

He pleaded not guilty. Inspector Wagstaff deposed that prisoner was staggering about the street in a drunken state. He went to two public houses where they refused to supply him with drink.

When witness asked for his name, he said he had “no ------- name”. He asked where the prisoner lived and prisoner replied “Nowhere”. Prisoner became abusive and he brought him to the police station.

A previous conviction was proved against prisoner in 1906, and he was now fined 5s and 4s costs. Being unable to pay he went to gaol for seven days.
