A CROWDED meeting in support of the candidature of Mr Phillip S Foster, the unionist candidate, was held at the Temperance Hall in Redditch on Monday night.

Mr Albert Eadie presided and was supported by Mr and Mrs Foster, Rev Pierrpont Edwards and Colonel Bromley-Daven-port.

The chairman offered Mr Foster a hearty welcome and the Unionist candidate returned to the fold to justify what he said at the last election.

He had pleasure in reading to the audience a letter which was written to him by the Right Honourable Joseph Chamberlain MP, which supported Mr Foster’s decision to run against Captain K Smith and to accept the whole of the Unionist programme.
