DEFENDER Clayton McDonald is set to remain at Redditch United after a move to Kidderminster Harriers broke down.
The former Port Vale centre back had wanted by Kidderminster boss Gary Whild until the end of the season.
Harriers are low on defensive options, with Josh Gowling suspended for two matches and Jordan Tunnicliffe on loan at Hednesford.
The Aggborough outfit can only recall him back after a month.
But after talking to Harriers he has opted to remain at the Valley Stadium until the end of the campaign.
McDonald joined the Reds six weeks ago and is not on a contract.
United manager Liam McDonald said: "I am delighted that Clayton is staying.
"I must admit I didn't have much to do with this, Harriers contacted Clayton but I think he was happy at Redditch.
"He wants to play here until the end of the season and then see what's best for him."
Meanwhile, Redditch have drafted in Gloucester City striker Mor Serigne Diop.
Diop, who stands 6ft 4in tall, is 26-years-old and grew up in Paris. He has played for Apollon Limassol, Belgium club Germinal Beerschot and Darlington.
He started the season at Hereford and signed for the Tigers in January but only made two appearances.
He is set to debut in Saturday's clash at Histon.
