THE internationally acclaimed Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir, from Uganda, will be performing their mix of traditional African music, dance and drumming in a concert at the Bromsgrove Methodist Centre.

The children’s choir will be supported by the Bromsgrove and Catshill Methodist Churches Choir, the Bromsgrove Community Choir and the Bromsgrove Recorder Consort.

The local organisations will perform in the first half of the concert and the Pearl of Africa choir in the second half.

These young people are supported by Pearl of Africa Child Care Ltd which is a small UK registered charity whose aim is to improve the health, education and welfare of people suffering disease, war and poverty in Uganda.

There are no advance tickets, just turn up on the night (come early for a good seat) but there will be a collection for their work.

The concert is on October 22.
