A NEW farm shop between Alvechurch and Barnt Green has been officially opened.
As well as an abundance of local food and drink, local celeb and BBC WM reporter Joanne Malin was on hand to help open Coopers Farm Shop, on Coopers Hill.
More than 500 people turned up to try samples of the store’s meats, patisseries and fruit and vegetables.
The shop is jointly owned and run by Adrian Bytom and Andy Bacon, who met when they were at agricultural college.
As part of the opening a special cake was raffled and along with donations, more than £185 was raised for charities The Primrose Hospice and Lifespace Trust.
