FOLLOWING last year's sell-out success, the RAF in Concert is returning to Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
This time the spotlight will be turned on the unsung heroes of the Royal Air Force, focusing on those who have and continue to make important, yet sometimes unrecognised sacrifices on our behalf.
The inspirational programme of music will take the audience on an epic journey through the history of the Royal Air Force, saluting not only the professionalism of those working behind the scenes to achieve great things but also the historic aircraft that made – and continue to make – many of the missions possible.
Compere Ken Bruce will introduce the programme of music featuring numbers from the stage and screen as well as military music, classical pieces and wartime favourites.
The concert, conducted by the RAF's principal director of music Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs, is staged in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust and will feature the band of the Royal Air Force Regiment, the central band of the Royal Air Force, the band of the Royal Air Force College and the Squadronaires.
The concert is on Wednesday, October 26.
