BISHOP Colin Of Church Hill, Redditch. Died peacefully at 3.35am on Monday 5th October at the Alexandra Hospital Redditch after a long battle with ill health. Colin was born on the 2nd January 1947, the son of the late Harry James Bishop and Edie May Bishop. Brother to Gerald, Anthony and Clive Bishop. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Jessie Bishop, his son, Jonathan Bishop and 4 stepchildren Norman, Paul, Diane and Stephen plus numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Colin started working in the printed newspaper industry at an early age, a career he worked in for over 40 years. His passions were motor sport /Formula One, as well as music. Colin once described his best accomplishment as being a father. He will be remembered for his wit and his generosity and friendly nature. The funeral will be held on the 19th October, 2015, at 12noon at St. Leonards Church, Beoley, Redditch, followed by the committal at Redditch Crematorium. Refreshments at the Abbey Hotel, Hither Green Lane, Redditch. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception Thanks to the staff on ward 5 at the Alexandra Hospital and the team at Old Friends Care for their help and support. Family flowers only please.
