Suzanne Weisskopf-Biggs
Weisskopf-Biggs Suzanne Suzanne Elaine Weisskopf-Biggs has died on April 13th, 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. For many years Suzanne made her home in Redditch. Suzanne leaves a beloved daughter, Hannah, future son-in-law, Ric, sisters Kathleen and Rosemarie, brother-in-law William, her uncle, Rev. Murray Nelson Brown and her aunt, Karla Brown. Also left to miss Suzanne are her dog and faithful companion, Lulu, and all her many friends across the world, especially in America, Spain and England. Suzanne was born on April 9th, 1959 in Accra, Ghana to Ruth and Siegfried. She was mainly brought up and educated in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from (now called) Missouri State University after which her Christian faith led her to explore working in missions by going to the south of France under the Assemblies of God Missions Abroad Placement Service. Suzanne had a love of the Spanish language and went to live and work on the island of Mallorca. There she met Howard Biggs. They were married and had their daughter, Hannah. Howard became ill soon after Hannah's birth and the family moved to Howard's family home in Redditch. When Howard passed away, Suzanne chose to remain in Redditch to care for her parents-in-law. When they passed away Suzanne and Hannah continued to make their home in Redditch, spending part of the year in their Mallorcan home. Suzanne was happy in Redditch and made a good life for Hannah and herself. Church life, music, dance, nature and wildlife were all important to them both. They played in the NonSuch Dulcimer Group and joined a Samba band. Suzanne loved walking the many beautiful green spaces of Redditch. She found the woods behind her Southcrest home offered her the calm and peaceful haven that she needed as her health began to decline. Suzanne enjoyed learning about the history and people of Redditch and the surrounding areas. Her parents-in-law provided a rich source of stories of local colour and interest. Suzanne's strong Christian faith was her strength and stay throughout her whole life. As she passed away, she had her beloved daughter, Hannah, and Hannah's fiancé, Ric, praying by her side.

Condolences to you Hannah and your family from myself and others who were ballet students at Mrs Bigg's dancing school and old friends of your dad's. I met your mom in Redditch just after Howard had died and you were born. Your mom was a lovely person and had I not lived in Italy I'm sure we would have become good friends. Take courage in knowing your dad would have adored you as your mom undoubtedly did.
