REDDITCH’S Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch welcomed one of the stars of hit television show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) to Waterstone’s to meet fans and sign copies of her new book.
Chloe Sims, who has her own boutique clothing store called ‘Starship Boutique’, drew a huge crowd as she signed copies of her new book, The Only Way is Up, for fans of the series which focuses on the lives of “real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way”.
The book signing was so successful that all of the pre-order books were sold out before the former glamour model arrived at the centre and anxious fans waited over two hours to get a chance to meet her.
Kingfisher Centre general manager, Ken Williams: said, “Having Chloe here has been fantastic for everyone and it has given the whole centre a lift.
“Having a buzz and vibrancy around the place is exactly what we are striving for and events like this are just the starting point for us in increasing interaction between the centre and the community.
“The book signing, coupled with the appearance from Birmingham City Football players, has added to our Christmas offering already and when people visit and see the grotto and the Snowglobe experience, they realise that we are a changing shopping destination that is focussing on the entire shopping and entertainment experience.”
