HOW well do you know Redditch?
Where was the Redditch Indicator printed for more than one hundred years?
Where was the town ’Flea-pit’ cinema?
These and many more historic facts about Redditch can now be revealed thanks to Redditch Local History Society's Redditch Heritage Trail booklet, which has just been published.
Written by society members and sponsored by the Redditch Town Centre Partnership, the booklet documents a walk around the town centre highlighting the historic sites and buildings which have contributed to the town's heritage.
The trail starts at the Palace Theatre and page by page, with then and now photographs, takes people on a journey up Alcester Street, around Church Green and back through the Kingfisher Centre to the sites which define the town's history.
The Redditch Heritage Trail is on sale now from various locations in the town centre as well as redditchhistorysociety.org.uk.
