Beoley WI
For the Harvest Supper and meeting Beoley Village Hall was seasonally decorated, the bar was open, and we enjoyed a three-course supper, followed by a happy and therapeutic singing session with Ruth Henley. We were given fruit from our millennium black pear tree. A letter with generous donation from former member Joyce Broughton's daughter was read, telling us that some of the exceptional clothes and accessories collected by Joyce on her visits to far away countries are to become exhibits at Bath Textile Museum, and her 1940s wedding suit is now in the Bond Street Fenwick family's private collection. Our Craft Fair will be at 10am on November 5 at Beoley Village Hall. Our next meeting will be our AGM and open evening and it will be at Beoley Village Hall at 7.30pm on November 1. New members are welcome. The competition is for 'Autumn Colours.'
