A MUSIC event honouring the life of Redditchs most famous, son John Bonham, has been organised
The event, a full day of live music, comes after the unveiling of a permanent bronze memorial statue of the legendary Led Zeppelin drummer in the town centre.
Organised by The John Bonham Memorial Friends in partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College, the festival will take place at Peakman Street on Saturday, September 22.
A stellar line-up of rock/blues artists and special guests, all with a connection to John and the Bonham family, will take to the stage as part of a full day of live music, starting at 1pm until 11pm.
A spokesman said: "Some acts will be revealed via johnbonhammemorial.com but others will be saved and revealed on the day.
"This memorable event will host a mix of well-known stars and upcoming musicians, all donating their time to remember John Bonham and to raise vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust and their outreach nurse programme across the West Midlands."
Tickets for the event cost £25 (plus £1.50 booking fee) and go on sale at noon June 29 via johnbonhammemorial.com.
Ticket numbers are strictly limited to just 1,000 on a first come first served basis. Over 18s only.
