A COMEDY play about a night of bed hopping and lack of communication is coming to The Norbury Theatre.

Move Over Mrs Markham, by Ray Cooney and John Chapman, is about three couples who all converge in an apartment at the same time.

Phillip Markham, a laid-back publisher of children's books has let the roguish Henry Lodge use his apartment to entertain a call-centre girl called Miss Wilkinson, while the Markhams enjoy a evening out.

At the same time, unknown to her husband, Joanna Markham has agreed to let her friend and Henry's wife, Linda Lodge, use the flat to spend the evening with her lover.

To complicate matters further, the Markhams' interior designer, Alistair, has plotted to meet the with the Markhams' au pair.

The Markhams' evening out is cancelled and there's no way to let any of the parties know.

Director Mike Matthews said: "I'm a great fan of Ray Cooney and John Chapman's work.

"Myself and the cast have really enjoyed putting this farce together and I'm sure the audience will benefit from the obvious chemistry between the all cast members."

The play is on from Wednesday, October 17 to Saturday, October 20.

Tickets cost £8.50 from 01905 770154 or 08700 600 100 and the first 50 bookings made before September 30 will be buy one get one free.
