ALCESTER Court Leet toasted a wine emporium in Studley during an ale-tasting visit at the weekend.
The Wine Empourium in High Street sells all types of beer and wine and when customer Richard Aston, a member of the Court Leet, suggested the group come down to see if the ale meets up to the correct standards, owner Michael Hallsworth liked the sound of it.
"It's something we've never done before and the customers were quite excited about it," said Michael.
"I wasn't nervous as I have every confidence in my beer."
The Court Leet has many duties, including visiting various businesses to check the goods and services are up to scratch.
