A REDDITCH man is leading the way in new music technology with a series of popular internet-based podcasts.
Ian Price, 43, who moved to Redditch in the early 1980s, runs a show called Robo Cast Radio from a spare room in his house in Brockhill.
The show features two robot hosts who introduce music and provide jokes and banter between songs.
Mr Price said: "The internet-based show was created to showcase unsigned bands, who produce all styles of electronic music.
"I include various bands from the Midlands as well as from around the world.
"The podcast shows are proving to be popular. I approached BBC Radio WM recently and they accepted my proposal of a specially created show for their Your Space slot."
He added: "This is an exciting time for internet-based broadcasts, even new ones like mine, as many people are moving away from conventional stations in favour of something a little different.
"I have listeners from all around the world."
Mr Price, who creates his own music under the name Future Daze as well as side project School Of Ambience, said: "I self produced two Future Daze CDs in 2006 and one School Of Ambience CD in 2007.
"I've had numerous tracks of mine appear on various podcast shows around the world including several from Brumcast (a Birmingham based show).
"It was the likes of Brumcast that inspired me to create my own podcast show."
A special Robo Cast show for BBC WM will be aired on Sunday, October 14 at midnight.
