STUDLEY in Bloom has received its first silver award for its stunning display of colourful plants and flowers.
The accolade was given at the Heart of England In Bloom presentation in Cheltenham.
Judges said they received a warm welcome during their tour, which included residential gardens, the infant school and the churchyard conservation area.
Points that particularly impressed the judges were planters and hanging baskets around the town, the planting at the Co-op, Pardoe Court and Marlborough Mews, and planters in the library.
Studley in Bloom chairman Justin Sayers said: "Previously, we have only had bronze awards. This is a reflection of the hard work done by volunteers from the community."
