THE late 60s yielded a remarkable crop of British blues-based rock guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher and... Mick Abrahams.
Back then, Mick Abrahams' guitar playing profile was on a par with that of his contemporaries.
He spent the 60s in various bands, including Jethro Tull, before forming his own band, Blodwyn Pig.
They had two albums, 1969's Ahead Rings Out and 1970's Getting To This, both of which spent several weeks in the UK Top 10 charts.
After spending the rest of the 70s and most of the 80s with just the occasional appearance, he was persuaded by fans to perform a series one-off gigs.
With a new album, See My Way, and a new band he is back and will be playing only a handful of shows.
Blodwyn Pig will be at the Huntingdon Hall in Worcester, on Saturday, September 22.
Tickets cost £13.50 from 01905 611427.
