FOR the second year running, Sambourne has won the award for Warwickshire's Best Kept Small Village.
The competition is run by Warwickshire Rural Community Council and encourages communities to work together to keep their surroundings tidy and well maintained.
Chris Clews, chairman of Sambourne Parish Council, said: "It was an achievement to win last year after more than 10 years, but to repeat the feat this year is fantastic.
"Congratulations and thanks to those whose efforts made this possible. Grass cutting is contracted to John Gibbs, of Stoke Prior, but all the other work is done by people who care about the appearance of the place.
"Their work does make a difference and if you're one of the few who make the effort, we'd like to say thank you on behalf of Sambourne."
The presentation is on Saturday, September 29 at 2pm in the Church Hall.
