A RAIL passenger from Redditch has been named and shamed in Central Trains' latest list of fare dodgers.
Dave Williams, 31, of Bromsgrove Road, was fined £214 for attempting to evade paying his fare.
He is one of 101 people from the Midlands who were mentioned on the list, with fines totalling more then £20,000.
Central Trains will now display posters with those named and shamed at many of their stations as a deterrent.
Russell Price, head of revenue protection, said: "We've always made it clear No ticketno excuse', and these 101 people have found their excuses didn't wash with the magistrates.
"The fine is up to £1,000, a criminal record and possibly prison. Fare dodgers should decide is it really worth it?"
