FAMILIES in Redditch can help to celebrate the natural world later this month by taking part in a workshop at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre.
The natural workshop will allow people to work with a range of natural materials to make items for the garden.
The centre has also recently been awarded £1,300 from Worcestershire County Council for its Family Learning Programme.
The programme will enable families to sign up for free activities from January to June 2008.
Val Wilson, from Arrow Valley Countryside Centre, said: "The Family Learning Programme has been running for a number of years and is very popular.
"Its aim is to get parents, grandparents or carers working together with children.
"We do a different activity every month. It's usually something to do with the park and nature, birdbox making, nature walks, pond dipping or making bird food."
She added: "We'll sign up as many families as we can in January to benefit from these free activities. We have had more than 60 in the past."
The natural workshop, which costs £1 per child, is on Sunday, September 30 between 11am-4pm.
