AFTER a generous donation by Halfords in Smallwood more then 30 adults with learning disabilities were taken on trips during the summer.
The idea of the trips, organised by Redditch YMCA, was to give them fun days out while at the same time give their carers a break and a rest.
They visited Drayton Manor Park, Twycross Zoo, the Black Country Museum and Warwick Castle and took part in activities such as skiing and archery.
Sue Broughton, from Redditch YMCA, said: "There is so little on offer for adults with learning disabilities during school holidays.
"We're so grateful to Halfords Charity Committee for providing Redditch YMCA with this grant as these trips would have been too expensive to run without their support."
