A MOTHER was sexually assaulted several times by a man in broad daylight as she walked in Redditch with her two young children.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was pushing her one-year-old daughter in a pushchair, with her three-year-old daughter walking beside her, along the footpath that runs alongside the Hewell Road swimming pool, leading into Pullman Close. A man approached her from behind, sexually assaulted her and made inappropriate comments. She told him to go away and he did.

The woman continued on her way, but when she entered Cardy Close the man once more approached her, sexually assaulted her and made further inappropriate comments. He then put his arms around her and again sexually assaulted her before running away when she screamed and elbowed him in the chest.

It happened shortly before 5pm on Thursday, September 20.

The man was white, in his 20s, 5ft 9-6ft tall, of medium build, with fair spiky hair. He had a local accent and was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms and a navy T-shirt with an orange logo.

Pc Sam Moore of Redditch Police said: "The woman was shaken from the incident as it happened in broad daylight and while she had her children with her. She felt that if she had been alone this man may have attacked her in a more serious manner.
