SEPTEMBER is Hollywood WI's birthday month and at our meeting we were admirably entertained by Tony Caldwell and his friend Davidwith - as they called it - "A Bit of Fun".
They sang , harmonising beautifully together, shanties, folk songs and madrigals accompanying themselves on guitar and tambourine.
These were interspersed with monalogues and funny stories. In all a pleasant and fun evening.
To add to our enjoyment, one of our members, Edith Moore, who would be celebrating her 90th birthday later in the month, provided a cake and drinks for members to share.
She was presented with flowers and a signed card.
Final arrangments were made for the two teams taking part in the Group Quiz at Hopwood and names taken for the group meeting at Beoley in October.
Our next meeting is on October 3 and the speaker is Mrs Freeman with Ideas for Christmas.
