PEOPLE who lack the confidence to speak in public can receive some help thanks to a grant given to a Redditch group by the Lottery Awards for All scheme.
Redditch Speakers Club will be holding a taster day to show members of the public how it can help them.
The purpose of the sessions is for those who feel they need practice at public speaking, presentations or just a bit more confidence when speaking up for themselves.
The day will cover an introduction to the club and a guest speaker who will give a humorous and educational talk.
One man who has seen how effective attending the club can be is Andrew Greenall.
Andrew who has been attending for just over two years said: "Since coming to the club I've grown in confidence, to the point where I have recently set up a cycle training business.
"Without the skills developed at the club, I would neither have the confidence or the ability to speak to a wide range of audiences."
Andrew set up workplaybike cycle training and undertakes training for Birmingham City Council and Birmingham University, travelling as far as Wolverhampton delivering his training.
The session will take place at Redditch Town Hall on Saturday, September 29 from 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-4.30pm.
People need only book for one session as both are the same.
