THE team at a Redditch-based contract packing, storage and logistics firm are buzzing after earning the British Retail Consortium's (BRC) accreditation for storage and distribution.
Oakland International, in Beoley, received the internationally recognised global standard, which covers environment standards, operating systems, traceability, layout and product flow.
The firm, which offers a complete supply chain management solution for frozen, chilled and ambient products, went through a rigorous day-long audit, including inspection of the firm's processes, quality management systems and overall factory environmental standards.
Oakland's managing director, Dean Attwell, said: "Attaining this new global standard provides our customers with the confidence that they are dealing with a specialist multi temperature supply chain business, ranked among the very best."
It is hoped the accreditation standard will enable the company to attract interest from new business markets globally.
