RESIDENTS are being asked what they think the planning issues of the future are by Redditch Council.

The council's development plans team will be holding discussion panels this autumn to give residents and stakeholders the chance to discuss their ideas and help plan the future of the borough.

The team are working on the core strategy development plan document, which will be the main planning tool for Redditch .

It will set out the aims and vision for the town up to 2026 and the first stage in its production is to identify planning issues.

The discussion panels will take place during November, December and January and will be held at the town hall, Walter Stranz Square.

The citizens panels will each be made up of around 10-15 local residents. The stakeholder panels will have a similar number of people from local businesses, developers, local services and organisations.

Each panel will discuss a different key theme, including the economy, health and well being, communities and children and young people, the environment, development strategy and housing and climate change.

Anyone who would like to register, or get more information can contact the development plans team by calling 64252 or by email at devplans@redditchbc.gov.uk. Details of the panels can also be found on the site. The closing date to register to take part in the discussion panels is Monday, October 15.
