ONE of the UK's premier blues-rock bands will be playing at Huntingdon Hall, Worcester.
Now in their 20th year together, The Hamsters have performed more than 3,750 concerts and have a mailing list exceeding 20,000.
The band, Slim, Rev Otis and Zsa Zsa, have been voted one of the UK's best unsigned bands by Kerrang magazine and have appeared in BBC's Top Gear magazine in an article on in-car entertainment.
Originally forming for their own amusement (and taking their name from the Sex Pistols, who once used it as a pseudonym to outwit hostile councils), they enjoy the irony of being an aggressive band with a cuddly name.
Although primarily performing their own material, they are widely regarded as leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix and more recently ZZ Top.
The show is on Thursday, October 4 at 8pm.
Tickets cost £14 from 01905 611427.
