THE August meeting was mostly taken up with the AGM.
Breathe Easy groups are part of the British Lung Foundation Support Network Sajedah Patel from the British Lung Foundation was in attendance to oversee the AGM and to answer any questions we might have .
She thanked the committee for all its hard work over the last 12 months and our members for continuous support to the breathe easy network.
The current committee stood down for the duration, being immediately returned for a further 12 months.
A total of 20 members were in attendance, which was lower than the previous months (it must have something to do with the AGM).
We had been invited by Redditch Lions to a fete they were organising in the Arrow Valley Park in July but due to the bad weather this had been cancelled and rearranged for September 9.
This coincided with a garden party being held by one of our members but it was felt that we should attend the Lions function in case we weren't included next time.
The group meets at 2pm every third Thursday of the month at Church Hill Community Centre, Loxley Close Church Hill South, Redditch.
The next meeting is on October 18.
Anyone with any type of lung condition will be made most welcome, along with their carers.
Transport to and from the meetings can be arranged, or if you would like further information please contact Dave Dyer on 833297.
