AN African and Caribbean group is seeking new members to come on board.
Veronica Allen, chair of Caribbean Roots Connection, said the group is still looking for more new members and volunteers who can enthuse and inspire people, support further development of the organisation and develop closer links with the local community.
Veronica said: "The focus of this organisation is to work with young people aged five-19 and the wider community through a variety of programmes and activities with a cultural theme.
"We will also be working in partnership with Talking Drums and will be starting a six week, two hours per session, drumming circle which will cost 50p per session. Children will learn drum rhythms, team work and communication skills whilst having fun.
"Each session will help increase the children's confidence self awareness and understanding of social interaction."
Anyone who is interested in getting involved and feels that they would like to make a positive contribution to their community or would like to sign up their children for the drumming workshop can call Veronica on 07929 044 729 or email caribbeanrc@hotmail.co.uk.
