A VOLUNTEER group is seeking Redditch residents to act as mentors for disadvantaged children.
Mentor Link works with children aged seven-18 who are facing difficulties at school, such as bullying and poor behaviour or even family breakdown.
Mentors meet up with children each week and talk through problems to try and create a more positive attitude to learning.
The group is looking for people who are prepared to sit with children and read or make small craft items.
Volunteers do not need any qualifications, but they do need to be non-judgemental, patient and prepared to listen.
Times can be arranged to suit volunteers' free time and each mentoring session lasts half an hour to an hour. For more details or to volunteer, call Karen on 07745 490805.
