AN elderly woman in Church Hill has been the latest victim of an attempted distraction burglary.
The offender walked into a bungalow in Sandhurst Close, at about 2.30pm on Saturday, September 15 via an insecure front door.
He said to the woman, who is in her 80s, that he was trying to sell something, but left empty-handed when she went to raise the alarm. The offender was one of three men seen in the area.
They were all white, aged 20-30, of slim to medium build, clean shaven and smartly dressed in trousers and shirts and are believed to have been using a silver vehicle.
Pc Dean Mowbray, of Redditch Police, said: "Police are reminding residents, especially elderly and vulnerable people, to be vigilant, to keep doors locked and to check the identity of anyone who calls at their home."
Anyone with information is asked to call 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
