POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in Redditch town centre.

The victims were among a group of four men who were sitting on a wall at the bottom of Unicorn Hill, opposite the Golden Cross pub, at about 6am on Sunday, September 23 when they were approached by two men who hit them in the face and chest.

The four men who were sitting on the wall ran off and were chased a short distance by the offenders.

The two who were assaulted, who are both in their early 20s, sustained minor injuries.

The offenders are described as white, and aged in their late teens to early 20s.

One was wearing a white-coloured top and the other wearing a green-coloured top.
