THE summer floods affected The Moat House Inn so the Inner Wheel Club met at Kings Court Hotel for their September meeting.
In response to District Chairman Judith Cule's request for an Inner Wheel "challenge" between clubs, President Pat Grier had invited members of Droitwich club to a game of boules.
This had been intended to be outside but, owing to the change of venue was now carpet boules.
After welcoming members and guests, president Pat explained the rules of the game and the challenge began.
Lots of fun and laughter followed with Droitwich being victorious and going into the next round.
We then ate a very enjoyable meal and this was followed by a brief business meeting.
President Pat thanked those members who had accompanied her on the summer outing on a tour bus trip of Stratford.
She then asked members if they would like to participate in the St Nicholas Christmas Market. Overseas Organiser Gillian Wythes said that she would bring the leaflets for the Samaritan's Purse Christmas shoebox appeal to the next meeting.
It was a very pleasant evening.
