A PLAQUE in memory of the late Alderman Charles Terry was unveiled by Mrs Terry at the entrance to the children's ward in the Smallwood Hospital, Redditch, on Saturday afternoon, in the presence of his son Mr H Philip Terry and Mrs H Philip Terry.
The plaque records that Mr Terry left the hospital a legacy of £1,000 which was used to pay for the conversion of the children's ward.
Mr G S Anderson, chairman of the Mid-Worcestershire Hospital Management Committee said that he need hardly say what the name Terry meant to Redditch and that the family had bought many great benefits to the town.
