WORKERS at Sainsbury's in Redditch recently dressed down in their jeans in aid of research into genetic disorders.
Jeans for Genes day is organized by a number of charities to raise funds for research into disorders such as cystic fibrosis, haemophilia and sickle cell as well as laboratory equipment, facilities and advice services for those affected.
In the UK, one baby in every 33 is born with a genetic disorder or birth defect and Jeans for Genes day aims to bring hope to the many families touched.
Jude Stringfellow, of Sainsbury's, said: "This is a great way to raise money for a worthwhile cause and I urge all businesses and schools in the area to take part."
