TWO years since the Save the Alex campaign was launched, organisers say staff and patients are still no clearer about what the future holds for the hospital.
And campaign co-ordinator Neil Stote has urged Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to "get a grip" and tell people what they need to know.
Mr Stote said: "We think it is totally ridiculous that two years on since the trust recruited Finnamore management consultants to look at addressing the underlying deficit in the trust's income and expenditure position and still no firm announcements have been made about jobs and services.
"The future of the maternity unit is still uncertain, so obviously pregnant mothers and women planning to get pregnant in the future don't know whether they'll be able to have their babies at the Alex or have to travel to another hospital.
"That is a horrible situation for pregnant women, who are often very anxious, to find themselves in.
"We have been campaigning for answers for two years, since the first board meeting after the Finnamore report came out, and we are not going to give up until the trust gives us those answers.
"The fact they haven't responded satisfactorily to the most simple questions is verging on the ridiculous.
"Giving answers to its patients is the very least it should be doing."
The trust refused to comment.
