“WE'LL keep fighting for whatever we need to do to make sure we have the best healthcare,” said Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sajid Javid, as he joined Rachel Maclean on the campaign trail in Redditch earlier this week.
The Chancellor joined the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate and party members in Callow Hill to speak to residents on the doorstep.
Rachel said: “The Chancellor knows how passionate I am about the Alex and restoring services which is why I’m grateful he joined the team and I here in Redditch to speak to residents about our hospital and other issues they’re concerned about.
“The Alex has been and always will be my top priority.
"If I’m given the great honour of being re-elected on December 12 I will continue to fight to get a maternity and children’s service back at the Alex where they belong.”
Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid, said: “The Alex is such a hugely important hospital for our constituents and we’ll keep fighting for whatever we need to do to make sure we have the best healthcare in the area.
“We’re seeing record investment into the NHS – a total of £33 billion extra a year which is going to be fantastic.
“But to do that, to invest in the NHS, to invest in more police, to invest in more schools, we’ve got to keep the economy strong and we’ve got to end the uncertainty over Brexit. We’ve got to get Brexit done so we can focus on the people’s priorities."
