COVID-19 business support schemes that have so far paid out just under £14m to Redditch businesses will close next month.
Redditch Borough Council has paid grants to 92 per cent of all eligible small or retail, hospitality and leisure businesses in the district, or 1,165 businesses.
In total £13.966m in Government grants have been paid to businesses through the Small Business Grants Fund, the Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Grants Fund, and the Discretionary Grants Fund.
All three schemes are set to close on Thursday, August 20.
Cllr Matt Dormer, Leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “These grants have helped to ensure the survival of our local shops, cafes, hotels, restaurants and many other businesses that are vital to our local economy.
“The vast majority of eligible businesses have now claimed but if yours hasn’t, please claim as soon as possible before the schemes close.”
Successful applicants usually receive grant payments within five days, subject to checks.
