REDDITCH Self Defence have joined forces with Redditch Borough council, Rubicon Leisure and the local policing team to support the young people across the town.
Rubicon leisure has allowed the self defence group use of the Abbey Stadium, which has allowed them to continue their sessions outdoors.
Pete Martin of the self defence group said: "As reported in the local press recently, the young people of Worcestershire need support and activities more than ever to steer them away from crime and ASB."
The group provides a service to all ages and capabilities, supporting people who have been a victim of crime or domestic abuse, as well as young people.
As restrictions continue to ease the training will move indoors and their 1-2-1 training and family groups set to continue, with funding requested from Active Worcestershire.
The sessions will be available on a referral basis. Social workers, teachers and youth workers are welcome to refer young people to the classes.
Redditch Self Defence group is also currently distributing free passes throughout the community.
