A SUSPECTED drink driver was arrested and rushed to hospital with a potentially serious injury after crashing into a tree in Redditch.
Police attended the collision on Bromsgrove Road at around 1am this morning (Tuesday, August 4).
PC Danny Fulford said in a tweet the driver blew 73micrograms of alcohol in his breath during a test. The legal limit is 35micrograms.
The officer also alleged the driver was under the influence of drugs.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance and paramedic officer attended to find a car which had collided with a tree.
"One man was given treatment on scene for a potentially serious injury before being taken to Worcestershire Royal hospital for further checks."
