REDDITCH has been identified as one of Britain's fastest-moving property markets, with homes there taking 27 days to be snapped up typically.
The area ranks seventh place in a list compiled by Zoopla, closely followed by Bromsgrove which placed eighth.
Properties in Redditch take an average of 27 days to go from listing to being sold subject to contract - the fastest in the West Midlands. In Bromsgrove, it’s 28 days.
The fastest moving properties in Redditch and Bromsgrove are priced between £150,000 - £200,000, with the most popular property type being three-bed semi-detached house
Zoopla have said the Midlands dominated the top 20 fastest-selling markets list.
Some of the most popular Redditch properties for sale on Zoopla right now include a three-bed semi-detached house in Brockhill (£200,000), a three-bed end-terrace house on St Georges Road (£170,000).
Overall, properties in the south of England are taking longer to sell typically, with only three local authorities there making the top 20, the report said.
Alongside Waltham Forest, Bristol and Dartford were the only other southern locations to make the list.
Tom Parker, consumer spokesman at Zoopla, said the current stamp duty holiday is helping to boost activity.
He said: "With a potential saving of up to £15,000, the rush from buyers to benefit from the stamp duty holiday is very much on.
"Of course there is still a significant amount of work to be done once a property is under offer, but properties being snapped up quickly by eager buyers is the first hurdle to leap if you want to make that saving."
