THIS weekend, the sounds of summer will fill the grounds of the Forge Mill Needle Museum for an evening of live music.
In partnership with Indigo Arts, Sunday, August 15 will play host to Forro Tempo,a fusion of Brazilian dance folk music and town favourites The Violettes, who promise some classic tunes from the forties to the eighties.
The grounds will be open from 5pm until 8.30pm for adults and children to enjoy the event.
Debbie Lakeman, learning and access officer for Rubicon Leisure, said: “We’re proud to have joined forces with Indigo Arts on this event to bring the sounds of summer to one of our town’s most historic locations, in a covid safe way.

"It has been a long time since we’ve been able to work with partners to host this kind of live entertainment, due to the pandemic, so we can’t wait for the buzz of live music in the grounds this weekend.”
Guests are invited to bring a picnic and take advantage of the Pimm’s and Gin Bar which will be set up in the grounds.
Cllr Matt Dormer, leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “There’s nothing quite like live entertainment on a summer’s evening and the weather is looking warmer by the end of this week, so book your ticket, pack a picnic, grab a Pimm’s and enjoy some top-class entertainment.”
Tickets cost £4 per adult, £2 per child or £10 for a family of five. Visitors are required to buy tickets online in advance of this event as on the door purchases will be unavailable.
